Equine Event Liability
Protection is available for anyone who puts on horse shows, clinics, rodeos, seminars, etc. Limits of liability available are $250,000 – $1,000,000. This coverage applies to the members of the public (spectators) who may be injured at your event. It does not apply to exhibitors or participants due to their own negligence. Defense costs are included in this coverage.
If a person (other than an employee) is injured on your premises or as a result of your profession as a farrier, you are covered. If property is damaged because of your negligence you are also covered. You are protected for claims against products you sell or work you have performed. If a horse is injured or dies while in your care, custody and control, you are covered up to certain limits spelled out in the policy. In addition, your equipment and supplies are covered against loss or damage.
Private Horse Owner Liability
If you own horses, but do not operate a commercial horse business, a private horse owner liability policy can protect you against legal claims that your horse caused bodily injury or property damage to someone on or off your premises. For example, if your horse got loose in the road and caused an accident or injured someone while at a show, you could be held liable.Coverage is offered for bodily injury and property damage, done only by a horse which is
scheduled on this policy.
